A multitude of train tickets remain as the traces of a long period of frequent travels between Venice and Trent. Though train travels are usually perceived as the interludes of life, the moments we tend to forget, in reality every trip forms part of our experience and is characterized by different feelings of joy, melancholy, happiness and boredom. These are the emotional states printed on the hand-worn tickets which Gaston has hung on cords. They are not just testimony of the kilometres travelled, but are also the recollection of moments which cannot be considered merely as interludes.
